Abstract:Since Hankou was opened as a treaty port in 1858, with the historical development, Wuhan has left a large number of modern cultural relics buildings, which carry the historical information of Wuhan and gradually become the cultural symbols of Wuhan. Also, due to the large number of cultural relics buildings, some cultural relics buildings are not protected, and varying degrees of damage have gradually endangered the safety of cultural relics.Taking the former site of embroidery Hall of Hanyang West Street in Wuhan as an example, this paper gives substantial attention and practical protection to the modern cultural relics building, and strives to protect and develop the former site of embroidery hall. This paper starts from four aspects: collection of basic information of the project, assessment of the value of cultural relics, design of renovation scheme and engineering construction measures, and finally summarizes the renovation experience and thinks about the later protection. This paper puts forward the detailed repair measures for the main structure and architectural details of the old site of Embroidery Hall, and provides reference for the repair project of modern cultural relics buildings.
